2024 City of Vancouver (VCT) 2023-2026 Contract Renewal

Brothers, Sister and Kin of IATSE Local 118

The VCT Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce that on August 26th, 2026,  IATSE Local 118 and the City of Vancouver reached a tentative agreement.

This new four year agreement includes a 15% wage increase over 4 years as well as two one-time lump sum payments on regular wages earned in all of 2022 (3.5%) and Jan 2023 - Nov 2023 (1%)

The agreement also includes a significant increase in casual (schedule B) employee benefits, changing contributions from a dollar amount on each hour worked to a percentage on gross wages. 

Other Highlights include increases to Extended Health and Dental plan for Full Time Employees which includes doubling of mental health coverage. 

The Bargaining Committee recommends that members vote to ratify the new agreement. 

A Discussion meeting will be held on September 15th at 10 AM via Zoom for members to ask question about the tentative agreement and a electronic ratification ballot will open on Sept 16th at Noon and remain open for 7 days.
